First you should give a name to your save slot, that is, write something else instead of EMPTY SLOT and then hit start button.

The game was okay, the visuals were great and so were to sounds. I think the fish (Glomp) needs to be animated though, rather than a still image.

Nice game, rad drawing skills, keep up the good work.
